Introduction
Claims that a military convoy removed an object from the Kecksburg woods became one of the most enduring parts of the 1965 incident, but they did not all emerge at the same time or with the same level of detail. While many witnesses agreed that military personnel were present, later accounts increasingly described multiple trucks, escort vehicles, armed soldiers and tightly controlled movement through the area. The reported convoy becomes more persuasive only if different witnesses independently describe the same features. Comparing the available testimony shows a mixed picture.
The strongest recurring themes are:

- whether there was one flatbed or two;
- the number and type of escort vehicles;
- whether Army, Air Force, NASA or multiple agencies were present;
- the route allegedly taken by the convoy;
- whether security involved ordinary crowd control or soldiers actively aiming weapons at civilians.
Stan Gordon has stated that he eventually concluded there were two separate military flatbed trucks and has described later interviews that, in his view, independently supported this interpretation.
